Music for us is inclusive, not exclusive. All you need are open ears and an open mind. If there’s anything we’ve learned from experience, it’s that children have these traits and love jazz. The festival at Skeppsholmen was initially aimed at families with music as the main attraction designed to appeal to all generations of visitors. Jazz has always appealed to a young generation of listeners – with its interest rarely fading over time.

The event’s program was created with the big and small kids in mind. In addition to music, there is also a restaurant in place, with special kid menus for the little ones. DN will be on hand with various activities. The kids will also have their own place with concerts, instrument building and a host of other exciting activities. This is a festival for everyone – hardcore, newbies, curious, small as well as large families. All great jazz musicians began with small steps – this is the perfect playground to take that first step.
